Napoleon and Weber are two companies that specialize in making high-quality grilling products for the home. If you are looking for quality, features and performance, these are two companies that you can depend on for great results and longevity. Both companies offer grills in a variety of price ranges, sizes and feature packages to take care of the needs of most families.

If you love grilling and want to be creative and produce great meals, it helps to have the right product to work with. Weber and Napoleon will give you just that. Let’s compare two of their best selling mid-priced models to see which one might be right for you: the Weber Genesis II E-310 vs the Napoleon Rogue XT 425 SIB. It's Napoleon vs Weber, head to head!

The Napoleon Rogue XT 425 SIB - $799

For 2020 Napoleon is refreshing their popular Rogue series with some new models. The Napoleon Rogue XT 425 SIB (model RXT425SIBPK1) is a three burner gas grill with an infrared "Sizzle Zone" side burner perfect for searing steaks. Napoleon's JETFIRE ignition system is designed for quick startups and has a battery-free ignition. The closed cart design keeps everything neat and tucked away between uses.

Under the hood you'll find porcelainized cast iron WAVE cooking grids for Napoleon's signature sear marks. The 427.5 square inch cooking area provides enough room for 26 burgers, and there's a chrome plated warming rack as well. The durable cast aluminum fire box is covered by a 15 year warranty. You'll also find dual level stainless steel sear plates (equivalent to Weber's Flavorizer bars). This setup protects the burners while providing even heat distribution as well.

This grill has a great feature package for its price range. The limited warranty offers 15 years of coverage on the lid and castings/base, and gives you 2, 5, and 10 years on many other parts. See manufacturer's warranty for details. Be sure to look at the Napoleon line of grills when you go shopping!

The Weber Genesis II E-310 - $799

The Weber Genesis II E-310 is a great grill, loaded with quality features and built to last a long time. Selling for $799, it offers a lot for the money and will fit nicely into the family budget. This grill offers 669 square inches (or 4.64 square feet) of total cooking area (including the tuck away warming rack) and three stainless steel burners which put out 39,000 BTUs of cooking power. The heavy-duty porcelain enameled cast iron cooking grates and stainless steel Flavorizer bars are made to last and to perform to the highest standards. The body of the grill is made from quality corrosion-resistant aluminum with an enameled steel lid.

The feature package that this grill offers is one of the best in its price range. Weber has updated their warranty and now offers a full 10 year parts and labor warranty covering the entire grill (ordinary wear and tear excluded). This gives you unmatched peace of mind when you buy a Weber! See manufacturer's warranty for details. Be sure to include the Weber brand on your gas grill shopping list!  If you want to learn more about Weber, read our complete article - Weber Gas Grills - Everything You Need to Know.

New for 2019, the E-310 is slightly taller than previous E-310s with a redesigned handle. Weber also created the SE-310, which features stainless steel cooking grates and a motion-activated handle light, for grill enthusiasts looking for an upgrade!

Be sure to look at both of these brands when you go shopping for your next gas grill. Napoleon and Weber are two of the leaders in the industry and you may find the best grill for you among their many models. It may come down to getting your hands on the grills themselves and looking at them in person to decide which one will be a better fit for your deck.

The Weber option in our review might be for you if you want a lot of cooking space for a great value, although the Napoleon option has an infrared side burner. Napoleon vs Weber is certainly a stiff competition, but either way, you are a winner!
