The Delivery & Installation Process

After you purchase an appliance or appliance package, we will schedule your delivery. You can choose from a morning or afternoon delivery window. Our delivery windows are typically 9AM-1PM or 1PM-6PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (we don't deliver Wednesday or Sunday). This can vary based on holidays and other factors. Talk to your salesperson about your specific case!

  • On the day of your delivery, we will give you a phone call at the beginning of your selected delivery window (morning or afternoon) to let you know which job you are on the route and give you an approximate time frame. You will receive a second call about 30 minutes prior to the delivery team’s arrival to let you know that they are on their way.

    • The drivers will call from cellphones. Please do not ignore calls the day of the delivery.

    • Delays may occur due to factors that we cannot predict, so unfortunately we can’t give an exact time for delivery.

  • Depending on the type of appliance and your installation needs, the appliance will be delivered either by our delivery team or by a trusted independent installer. For example, we recommend independent installers to handle dishwashers, gas ranges, and gas dryers, as well as built-in appliances like cooktops and wall ovens.

Our Delivery Service Includes...

  • Bringing in and setting up the new appliance (if it is a “plug and play” appliance like a washing machine or refrigerator)

  • Removing packaging materials

  • Removing the old appliance

Costs to Expect

  • There will be a delivery fee based on the distance between our store and your home. Local delivery to most surrounding communities (Central Mass, Southern 495 Belt, most of Rhode Island) by Bellingham Electric is $79. This fee may vary when an independent installer is involved. Talk to your salesperson to find out the costs involved for your specific case!

  • Depending on the type of appliance and various factors of the installation, there may be a charge for installation.

    • For example, Bellingham Electric can replace a damaged or corroded water line for a refrigerator during installation for an extra charge, but otherwise we do not charge for basic “plug and play” refrigerator installation.

    • More in-depth installation processes, such as replacing an old over the range microwave with a new model, will result in a charge. For example, we charge $125 for "push-pull" over the range microwave delivery, installation, and removal of the old unit.

    • We will discuss any additional charges with you. We have certain trusted installers we recommend, but you are free to contract your own installer if you would prefer.
